Enjoying a beautiful October morning....

At long last......

Now that I've finally got my computer and camera up and running again, I thought you all might enjoy a long-overdue update. Much has happened---Braden is walking, talking (discovering the power of the word "NO!") and has developed a passion for all things truck, train and Elmo. Kate celebrated her fifth (!) birthday, began pre-K and learned to ride a bike and swim.


We visited the Fairy Houses Festival in Portsmouth, NH in early September.  Kate was thrilled at all the magical creations...each one fashioned from natural materials.

Spring has sprung!

We had our first picnic of the year at the herring run in Pembroke. Kate was fascinated by the fish and decided to try and catch one for herself.

On Sunday we celebrated the christening of my niece, Libby, her sister Kara's third birthday and the upcoming first birthday of our own Mr. B.

Words of wisdom

As we were slowly making our way driving through the storm yesterday, Kate stated from the back seat, "Mom, if everything in the world was upside-down, then it would look right side up to me."

A taste of Disney

I thought I'd start off with what was the highlight of Kate's year...our one day trip to Disney! She was in her glory, surrounded by all things princess and Peter Pan. At the photo session with Cinderella, Belle and Snow White, she was so animated that Belle left her post and came to chat with Kate and Cinderella.

Since Braden's interest in the princesses is

limited to pulling their hair, he spend some

visiting with the stuffed animals.
